This may not sound as daft as you may think. Eijgenhuijsen haven’t diversified into a new line of business. It is simply delivering and installing for its customer Veld Koeltechniek ice cream dispensers and ice bottles for UNILEVER in one simple move.

The ‘one move’ concept is a simple idea from UNILEVER that many companies cannot achieve. In the past, after the delivery of the ice machine, the customer has to order ice bottles separately from his supplier to fill the ice machine himself. Now the installation of the ice machine and the delivery of the ice is handled by one company.

Marcel Reurink, Managing Director Eijgenhuijsen Precisievervoer added, “After we leave, the customer can start selling ice directly which is exactly what they want to do to repay their investment quickly. We have frozen ice on board our trucks and we are installing these ice bottles as a finishing touch on the installation”.

He added, “We are also working on an extra concept; the delivery of freezers already filled with ice. We are utilising our trucks that have been fitted with 220V connections to keep the temperatures down to the right level during transport. We are pleased to be at the forefront in our customer’s minds and to be able to support them with these solutions to make their logistics more efficient”.
