MITSafetrans founded 30 years ago and based in Carugate, in the province of Milan, and with its extensive branch network provides a comprehensive and networked transport solution throughout the whole of Italy. Through TENESO Europe SE (Technical Network Solution) this service now extends into the whole of Europe.

MITSafetrans has quadrupled its turnover in the last 10 years and this growth has not just been horizontal. There has been a clear focus on vertical integration. The strategy is simple. “By providing additional services to our key clients we hope that this will place MITSafetrans not just as another supplier, but a true partner” It was for this reason that we recently opened a comprehensive WEEE treatment facility in San Giuliano Milanese.

This is a key strategic decision by MitSafetrans. In addition to providing a comprehensive transport network with a large a large fleet of vehicles authorized to transport waste, this recycling plant can perform a number of key waste handling requirements including the retention, safety, disassembly, recovery and preliminary deposit of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

This plant offers much more too. Giulio Chiaia said, “This was a major investment for Mitsafetrans. We talk about waste but we can also offer within the facility patent protection of intellectual property, the destruction of data on storage media and archives and the recovery of reusable components”. He adds, “The drive for this came from the medical sector where we manage the biological risks and sanitation but it naturally lends itself to the IT sector too”

MITSafetrans hosted the 1st seminar of the Professional Recycling organization recently to discuss the impact of the new legislation proposed by the EU Regulation n.1357 of 12/18/2014 and to show the delegates their new facility in action.
